How to Fix Meta Payment Method Access Issues

Requirements:

  • Admin access to your Meta Business settings

  • The debit or credit card you want to add

Step-by-step: Set Permissions and Add Your Payment Method

  1. Open Meta Business Settings – Business settings loads

  2. Give Yourself Finance Permissions – Finance options enabled for your profile

    • In the left menu, open People.

    • Find your own admin name and click the three dots next to it.

    • Select Edit business portfolio permissions.

    • Open Advanced options.

    • In the Finance section, toggle on all options.

    • Click Save.

  3. Give Yourself Full Access to the Ad Account – Full access added to your ad account

    • In the left menu, open the Accounts section.

    • Select Ad accounts.

    • Choose the correct ad account.

    • Click Assign people.

    • Select yourself.

    • Toggle on Full access (Manage ad accounts).

    • Click Assign.

  4. Go to Billing & Payments and Add Your Card – Card successfully added

    • On the left menu, select Billing & payments.

    • Select your ad account, then open Payment methods.

    • Choose Add payment method, then select Debit or credit card.

    • Enter your card details and save. Confirm a verification code from Meta if prompted.
