All your ad spend for campaigns runs directly through Meta Ads Manager, while your service fee for Bloom is billed separately by Understory. This setup lets you manage ad payments directly with Meta while keeping your service agreement with Understory simple.
How to set up and manage billing on Meta
Requirements: Access to "Bloom" in your Understory dashboard.
Go to Meta Ads Manager - Opens billing options
Add your preferred payment card to your Meta Ad Account - Enables payments
Select "automatic payments" - Ensures ads keep running
Fund your account with 5,000 DKK at a time (recommended) - Meta deducts as you go
Note: Your ad spend is charged directly by Meta. This is separate from Understory’s service fees.
How the Meta billing & subscription fee structure works
Meta charges your ad spend automatically from your chosen payment method in Ads Manager—just top up as needed. Choosing automatic payments ensures your ads won’t be interrupted. Meta deducts funds as your ads are delivered, so you stay in control of your daily ad spend.
Your €249 Bloom subscription fee is billed monthly by Understory, on a different invoice. This keeps your advertising costs and service agreements transparently separated, making expenses easy to track for your business.
What happens if a Meta payment fails?
If Meta's payment attempt fails at any point during the month, your ads will stop delivering immediately. This can result in underspend for that month and a gap in your campaign performance.
To avoid interruptions:
Keep your payment method in Meta Ads Manager up to date
Make sure your account has sufficient funds before your billing threshold is reached
Check Meta's billing section directly if you notice delivery has stopped
