The Gift Card Widget Implementation feature lets you generate custom widget code to embed a gift card purchase option directly onto your website. You can easily tailor the widget by selecting the storefront, language, and, if needed, specific experiences from your Understory dashboard.
How to embed the Gift Card Widget on your website
Go to Storefront > Implementation > Gift cards - Opens the widget setup page
Select the experience (optional: defaults to all experiences overview) - Filters widget for a specific experience
Choose the language (e.g. English) - Sets widget display language
Pick the storefront (only those with gift cards enabled will show) - Matches your online store settings
Copy the generated widget code (using the copy button) - Widget code ready to paste
Paste the code on your website (where you want the widget to appear) - Gift card widget is displayed for customers
How the Gift Card Widget works
The Gift Card Widget is a simple way to embed a purchase form for gift cards right on your website, so customers don’t have to leave your page. By customizing the experience, language, and storefront, you can make sure it matches your offerings. The widget is filtered to only work with storefronts where gift cards are enabled, making setup straightforward.

To edit or disable which storefronts offer gift cards, check the Storefront settings.
