Tickets are sent automatically via email when a booking is confirmed, making it easy for guests to receive and access their tickets ahead of your experience. You can select whether tickets are assigned per booking (one ticket per group) or per guest (individual tickets for each attendee).
How to Manage Tickets Sent to Guests
Requirements: You must have access to the "Sales" section in your Understory account and permissions to manage bookings.
Click Sales in the navigation bar – Sales dashboard opens
Click Manage (top right corner) – Ticket and booking settings appear
Find the 'Send tickets to your guests' section – Ticket options visible
Toggle the switch ON – Enables ticket sending feature
Choose 'Per booking (single ticket)' OR 'Per guest (individual tickets)' – Selection is saved automatically
How the "Send tickets to your guests" Feature Works
When enabled, this feature automatically attaches digital tickets to your guests’ booking confirmation emails. If you select "Per booking (single ticket)," one ticket will be issued for the entire group. If you select "Per guest (individual tickets)," each attendee receives their own ticket, which is ideal for managing capacity or events requiring individual check-in. Scanning tickets at the event helps you track attendance and manage entry efficiently. This creates a smoother check-in process and ensures your guests have everything they need ahead of time.
