You can control how far in advance guests can change their booking by setting a specific number of days before the event. Enabling this feature gives your guests more flexibility and saves you time managing rescheduling requests.
How to Enable "Allow Guests to Move Booking"
Requirements: You must have access to the Understory dashboard and be able to adjust sales settings.
Click "Sales" in the navigation bar – Opens sales overview
Click "Manage" (top right of Bookings list) – Opens management settings
Toggle "Allow guests to move booking" ON – Enables guest-initiated rescheduling
Set "Can be moved until" – Enter how many days before the event guests are allowed to move their booking
Your settings are saved automatically – New bookings can now be moved by guests (based on your settings)
How "Allow Guests to Move Booking" Works
When you activate this feature, guests can log in and reschedule their booking without needing to contact you for approval. You decide how close to the event date changes can be made (e.g., if set to "1 day before," guests can only move their booking up to one day prior to the event). This streamlines your workflow, reduces manual handling, and provides a better experience for your guests.
