How to check in guests using your smart device
Requirements: A smart device with a camera and access to app.understory.com
Open Understory on your smart device - Home page is displayed
Tap "Check-in a guest" - QR scanner opens (grant camera access)
Scan the guest's ticket QR code - Guest booking details pop up
Press the “Check in” button - Status changes, guest is registered as checked in
How the "Check-in a guest" feature works
The check-in feature lets you manage entry at your experiences or events by scanning each guest’s unique ticket. Each booking confirmation email sent to your guests includes a ticket with a QR code at the bottom. Use your smartphone or tablet to scan this code at entry, speeding up the process and minimizing lines. Once scanned and checked in, the guest’s status is instantly saved in your Understory dashboard, confirming their attendance.
